Creating and maintaining educational environments where ALL learners can find a sense of belonging and thrive is complex work. Our students arrive from diverse background, and an array of intersectional identities and concerns. Educational leaders and their teams need find and activate a new set of inclusion competencies that will foster belongingness under complex conditions. In this session we identify these inclusion competencies and discover ways to engage their constituencies to be inclusive in their shared educational responsibilities.

At the end of the session attendees will:
  •  Understand what inclusion competencies are
  • Learn about the practice of assessment-to-development 
  • Sample instructional methodologies that can foster inclusion in the classroom as well as cocurricular activities
