When we create access to high-quality performing arts programs, it changes kids' lives by changing their mindset and helping them develop life, academic, & leadership skills.   Embark on a transformative journey with Drake Shrader, an expert in the area of youth arts programs, development, and empowerment. In this session attendees will:  Gain insights into the life-changing effects of the arts on youth, schools, and communities while witnessing the tangible results through real-life stories and compelling data. Explore the vital role of cross-sector collaboration between schools, for-profits, and nonprofits in designing, implementing, and sustaining impactful performing arts programs within the school environment. Examine the essential components of designing programs that foster collaboration, build community, and instill leadership skills in  youth. This dynamic session is not just about awareness; it's a call to action. Participants will also be able to engage in meaningful conversations about personal experiences with the arts, the impact of the arts on our daily lives, and gain firsthand insights from South Bend community youth on how the arts have changed their lives. Participants can anticipate a profound journey into the transformative power of the arts and the strategic nuances behind programs designed to shape futures and empower the next generation through the arts. 

By the end of the session attendees will:
  • Deep Insight into Transformative Power: Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of how high-quality performing arts programs can be catalysts for transformative change in the lives of youth.  
  • Strategic Cross-Sector Collaboration: This session will equip participants with the knowledge and awareness of the crucial role cross-sector collaboration plays in the success of performing arts programs. Participants will have a clearer vision of how collaboration across sectors can amplify the positive influence of performing arts initiatives. 
  • Practical Tools for Program Design: Participants will gain actionable insights into the necessary components for designing and implementing successful performing arts programs. The session explores how these programs can facilitate youth collaboration, community building, and leadership development. Equipped with practical tools and strategies participants will leave wiith the expertise to craft programs fostering the development of life skills, academic excellence, and leadership in youth, empowering them for future success.
